Ingredients
- 2 1/2 Cups of Water
- 2 1/2 Cups of Chicken Stock
- 1 Cup of Onion (Diced)
- 1 Medium Potato (Sliced as Thin Rounds)
- 2 Cloves of Garlic (Sliced Thin)
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Granulated Garlic Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Parsley
- 1/4 Cup of Kale (Chopped) — (Alternate: Spinach)
- 1/4 Cup of Heavy Cream
- 1/2 Cup of Ground Italian Sausage (Cooked)
- Parmesan Cheese (For Garnish)
Directions
- In a pan, sauté the ground Italian pork sausage. Once cooked through, set aside on a paper napkin to remove some of the oil.
- In a pot, add water, chicken stock, onion, potato, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and parsley. Bring to a boil.
- Add in kale, heavy cream, and cooked Italian pork sausage.
- Let simmer for 10 minutes until potatoes are cooked all the way through.
- Garnish with Parmesan cheese. Serve hot!
